Committee Duties

This committee of Classis is responsible for conducting the business of the Classis between stated sessions.  According to Classis by-laws, our purview is covered in the Rules of Order Article VI, Section 6:

The Stewardship Committee shall:

a.       Conduct an audit each year of the Treasurer’s records and make a report of that audit at the March meeting of the Classis.

b.      Make an annual review and recommendation concerning the Classis minimum minister’s salary and benefits, and provide information concerning pension and annuities.

c.       Provide addresses, phone numbers, web sites, and other pertinent information for churches dealing with government agencies that have or will have access to church financial and personnel records.

d.      Provide for Classis events that can best utilize the gifts and talents of members of member churches such as youth fellowship leader events, cooperative youth work, mission awareness programs, and diaconal ministries.
